CLEAN FUELS SYSTEMS

Tail Gas Treating Unit (TGTU)

Recovery of residual sulfur species from SRU tail gas to meet overall sulfur-recovery and emissions targets.

Tail Gas Treating Unit (TGTU)

PROCESS & OPERATING PHILOSOPHY

Tail-gas reduction, cooling, quench, amine absorption/regeneration and recycle to SRU. The operating sequence, recycle paths, start-up/shutdown cases and normal/turndown behavior are defined before equipment finalization.

MAIN EQUIPMENT & PACKAGE LIMITS

Reduction reactor, waste-heat/cooling equipment, quench tower, absorber, regenerator and incinerator interface. Materials, design margins, maintainability, isolation, access, lifting and spare philosophy are coordinated with the approved operating cases.

CRITICAL DESIGN INPUTS

Feed assay/composition, design capacity, operating pressure and temperature, product specifications, turndown, utilities, battery limits and site ambient conditions.

ENGINEERING DELIVERABLES

Sulfur-recovery calculation, solvent balance, emissions case, PFD/P&ID, datasheets and performance test. The package also includes line/equipment lists, relief and utility summaries, layouts or 3D interfaces, vendor-document requirements, inspection plans and commissioning inputs as applicable.

AUTOMATION, SAFETY & HSE

DCS regulatory control, critical interlocks, relief and depressuring, gas/fire detection, hazardous-area classification, HAZOP actions and applicable SIS/ESD functions.

APPLICATIONS & PERFORMANCE BASIS

High-recovery refinery and gas-plant sulfur complexes. Capacity, product quality, consumption and emissions commitments are confirmed only after the representative feed and project Design Basis are approved.

CODES, STANDARDS & QUALITY BASIS

Licensor standards, ASME, API, NACE and environmental emission limits. The contractual code basis is selected by destination and client specification. ASME/API/TEMA, EN/DIN and GOST/EAC requirements are not mixed without an approved code-equivalency and authority review.

CONTRACTUAL CODE BASIS

Licensor standards, ASME, API, NACE and environmental emission limits.
